A Look Back...

Well, it is official. I am finished with my job in Lexington and I will definitely be gone in two weeks. We have signed a 1 year lease at an adorable place in Charleston. Thus begins another chapter. In the midst of all of the packing, planning, searching and organizing, I have been thinking a lot about times past. I can't wait to start my new life and I know this is what I really want and need. However, I can't help but think about all of the great people I have met and all of the great times I have had. Here is a tribute to all of the wonderful friends I have made and times that I will never forget.

Dude, Where's my car?

So, I was in Missouri this weekend celebrating Bryan's birthday. Saturday night was a really good time. We went out to a few bars with some friends that he has met there. We started out at this little bar called High Rollers and ended up at the bar at the riverboat, Sidelines. We kicked off the night drinking Crown at the hotel and did shots all night, so we were both lit. When we left High Rollers the decision was made that all of us would ride with Amanda to the boat. I didn't need anything except my id, so I grabbed it and Bryan put my purse in his trunk and we left his car there. Apparently we danced for a long time at Sidelines, but that's blurry for us both. Finally, we realize that we couldn't drink anymore and that we need to go back to the hotel. Instead of everyone leaving, Bryan decided that he and I could just ride the casino shuttle back to the hotel and I could take him to his car the next morning. Good idea. We were way too drunk to drive. Skip to the next morning. Keep in mind that Bryan is the only person left from his company. It's only him and some people from FEMA and the Army Corps of Engineers. He is supposed to be at work at 7am. The alarm goes off. Neither of us wake up. Finally, around 8am I wake up and tell him what time it is. He's not concerned. It's his birthday and he has decided he is going in late. Well, around 8:30am he gets a call from FEMA. They need him to be there, now. He says he will be pulling in the lot in a few minutes. So we get up and are getting ready to go get his car. We look at eachother. Shit. My purse is in his trunk...at the bar. Mind you, we are still both drunk and not thinking clearly. He tries calling some people, but no one answers their phone at 8:30am on a Sunday. I frantically talk to the front desk, trying to order a shuttle to the casino (we figure we can talk the guy into dropping Bryan off at his car). The shuttle service doesn't start until 9am, so it will be 9:30 before they can get us. We are stressing out. After what seemed like forever, Bryan gets ahold of Amanda and she takes him to his car. We both felt like retards.
